Legal vs Ilegal Immigration, Amnesty to what?

Can’t stand media communicators and even congressmen using the term "Legal Immigration"

(versus the "Illegal" kind) as to imply "Just" or "Fair" without any understanding of the fact

that for generations immigrants have come to this country just following the steps of their

parents and grandparents.  Any thinking mind will understand that Immigrants don’t come

intentionally to commit a crime.  They just come to work and better provide for their

families.  They don’t want charity, most of them give much more than what they receive.

Is hunger and not a criminal intent that drives immigration, period.

So forget being against amnesty, there is no amnesty if there is not criminal intent,

that’s a great fallacy.

I don’t know any immigrant yet that has been briefed in US Law before entering the country

just as no US citizens are required to know Mexican or any other country’s laws.

As obsolete and unworkable the current immigration system is, the line between "legal" and

"Illegal" Immigration is completely blurred, so please, don’t make it such a big deal.

That kind of labels is a desperate way to gain some political support and/or ratings (polarizing and dividing).

Any thinking mind (fortunately like most of our Senators and President) can see

thru this trickery, unfortunately many people in the general population can’t. They are being

manipulated by the talking heads in some news organizations and talk radio.

Great article, Juan! The word "amnesty" has become such a hot-button, but we see people go to court every day and get probation or deferred adjudication, and we know it's not amnesty. As such, the fines and other requirements to 'legalize' undocumented immigrants mean that "amnesty" is a misnomer in this case as well.
