Tracking friends the Google way

I thought this was pretty interesting.  Google is offering a new application that allows users and their friends to track each other on a map, based on the location of their mobile device.  I guess it's just the next step after twittering all day, and allowing your friends to be a part of what's going on in your day.  I just don't think I would want anyone tracking my movements all day - kind of strange, what do you think?  Considering the start of the article is:

"For the past week, I've been stalking my sister, my boyfriend and my boss. They've also been stalking me..."
