star-empty star-empty star-empty star-empty star-empty

Elected officials in El Paso, Texas are asking President Elect Obama to stop the several hundred miles of border fence construction between Mexico and the United States citing it was "ill-conceived and an irresponsible expense in the midst of a recession," also noting that the, "fence should not be used a replacement for comprehensive immigration reform."

By stopping the construction of the border fence, as well as taking down exisiting fence, they hope to send a message of friendship and hope to our neighbors.  What do you think?
