Clinton Hosts "Solutions for America" Presidential Campaign Stop

Description: As a Catholic tax-exempt university, St. Mary’s does not endorse political candidates or their positions on issues and acknowledges the fundamental differences between those of the presidential candidates and the Catholic Church.

 


The University has a proud tradition of civic engagement and a history of providing our students with opportunities to participate in the political process, including through campus visits from candidates and elected officials ranging from Ronald Reagan to Kinky Friedman.

 


Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton will host a “Solutions for America" rally on Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2008, at St. Mary's University.

 


In the past St. Mary’s has hosted former Presidents Ronald Reagan and Gerald Ford, former Vice President and presidential candidate Walter Mondale, presidential candidate H. Ross Perot, U.S. Senator and vice presidential candidate Lloyd Bentsen, Texas Governors Ann Richards and Rick Perry, as well as gubernatorial candidate Kinky Friedman, among many, many others.



Special Notes: The doors to Bill Greehey Arena will open at 5:30 p.m. for the pre-program event. The event is open to the public.
