A Request To Revive A Stalled Crackdown On Employers

A request by the Bush Administration to a federal judge to lift a ban on a stalled crackdown, on U.S. companies that hire undocumented workers was announced on Thursday. If the court agrees to lift the ban, there will be 140,000 employers receiving mailing notices regarding suspected Social Security numbers used by undocumented workers.
