What is microlending????
You may have heard the terms 'microlending' or 'microfinance', but you may still be wondering what they mean in the real world.
Student Voices by MATT.org spent a few days outside of Monterrey, Mexico with microlending greats ADMIC and Kiva to get you a firsthand look at what microlending means to the working poor. We'll be posting a great video with interviews from Kiva and Admic staff as well as some of Mexico's most endearing small business owners soon.
But first, here is a peek at Kiva.org and their work (in this story, in Uganda). Kiva lets YOU be a part of the microlending phenomenon. (Yes, it's really a phenomenon, which means you better get take advantage of this free crash-course we're providing!)

What is YOUR opinion on Immigration in 150 words?
Georgia's Atlantic Journal-Constitution recently did a survey of all the candidates for U.S. Senate in the state. The paper asked the candidates to summarize their thoughts on immigration reform in 150 words by answering the question:
What should the U.S. do about the millions of illegal immigrants now living in this country?
The candidates answered the question in a variety of ways. Check our their thoughts here:

How would you summarize your thoughts on immigration in 150 words?
If you could formulate the question that was posed to the Candidates, would you have phrased it differently? Why or why not?
